Snack Review: 'Every Day Luxury' Kit Kats: Almond & Cranberry and Rose & Black Tea flavour

It's been a long time since I've written here, but quarantine had led me to revive old blogs like this one, especially since I have still been collecting Japanese snacks and stationery all these years even if I've not been very consistent with writing about it!

Kit Kats are one of my favourite snack collectibles - In Japan, they have a wide rage of different flavours including a number of limited edition or seasonal flavours. One of the prettiest flavours I've tried so far are these limited edition 'Every Day Luxury' Kit Kats. In the box were two flavours: Milk Chocolate Almond & Cranberry and White Chocolate Rose & Black Tea.

The box was super cute with in depicting what the two flavours consisted of, with illustrations of fruits, nuts and roses around the front. It opened up from the the top like a little treasure box to reveal 6 single finger bars of each flavour.

The packaging was nice and simple, with the rose flavoured chocolates decorated with a light pink floral wrapper and almond flavoured chocolates decorated with a tanned wrapper illustrated with almond nuts and cranberries scattered everywhere.

The 'Every Day Luxury' line of Kit Kats all have topping added to the original chocolate wafer fingers. Milk Chocolate Almond & Cranberry is one of the standard flavours for this range - the nuts and dried berry flakes on top add a crunchier texture to the Kit Kat, as well as a natural sweetness.

The White Chocolate Rose & Black Tea flavor was a limited edition flavour, which might not be in stores anymore. But don't be sad if you're wanting to try this flavour - popular editions are sometimes brought back in different seasons or with different packaging. The crumble on top had a delicious rose scent and you could taste the sweet floral combination of roses and white chocolate. However, there was very little Black tea scent or taste. But it was a very aesthetic looking Kit Kat and was still very unique and delicious.

I would recommend trying both flavours, especially the White Chocolate Rose & Black Tea if you do find it in stores. If you like recycling boxes, the packaging for this flavour is beautiful. The chocolate is full of interesting flavour and texture and has a pretty pattern of crumbles and flakes on top. I think I'll be giving a general opinion on the snacks rather than a rating, but in the coming weeks I'll be introducing more of the 'Every Day Luxury' range as well as other Kit Kat flavours.
